Oak Harbor, home to Whidbey Island Naval Air Station' has a stand of native 'Garry' oak trees in the little city park above the waterfront.
Just a little something that washed ashore? Actually, it was pulled to shore. Back in September this enormous piece of driftwood was found floating off the Gurnet point. It now sits off to the left of the parking lot to the boat ramp (near East Bay Grille).
