This is Marina Bay in Quincy. It looks across to Boston. A few weeks ago I stopped at Marina Bay, grabbed a lunch and ate it outside looking out over the marina. This is also where I took yesterday's photo of the goose.

Yesterday I started work on an assignment to photograph the town of Woolwich to the East of London on the banks of the River Thames. Famous as a crossing point of the river this dusk image of the ferry with the City of London in the background sets the scene.

Yesterday I had a duck on the blog, today I say "goose." I like how the telephoto lens gave the background a really nice blur. I don't use the longer lens as much but it seems to do a nice job when I do take it out. Although, I usually wish I had an even longer lens.

This was back a few weeks ago when we had really warm weather. I think this duck was looking for a cool spot. I have a friend who just got six baby ducks. Oh my gosh, they are so darn cute. After holding them I had to ask what they were going to do with them. Thankfully, they will eat the eggs and not the ducks.

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day yesterday. I had a great day with Mom (and Dad). Had lunch on the porch with Chris, Karen and my parents. Then we went to Duxbury for a walk. Lots of pretty houses and the weather turned out to be beautiful. We topped it off with an ice cream at Far Fars.

OK, so I didn't press the shutter release, my wonderful niece, Sigrid did that, but I set the shot up. This was taken whilst I was on a job last weekend photographing a Confirmation for a friend at a beautiful place called Hotell Refsnes Gods in Moss just outside Oslo. It's not often I stand on the other side of the camera these days (no wise cracks thank you).

The George Ranch is a really great place to bring visitors for a Texas experience, especially people from other countries. They have a cowboy show that shows how they care for their cattle including roping. You are up close and personal and can ask questions. It is a much more intimate experience than if you were at one of the big rodeos. And when the giant longhorn makes an appearance there are oos and ahhhs they are as entertaining as the show itself.

I had hope that the sky might clear but things just seemed to get worse. I definitely was not going to see even a speck of the supermoon. This morning it was really pouring rain. Of course it had to do it on the one day I was driving to a conference. I gave myself plenty of time and ended up being the first person to arrive. They have a great food spread. I'm eating a yummy bowl of yogurt, fruit and granola. Plus I borrowed my aunt's iPad so I have a toy to play with!

Besides Saturday being Cinco de Mayo it was also the night of the supermoon. All day it was cloudy and I figured I wouldn't be able to see the moon. At 6:45pm I looked out the window and the sun was shining and the skies were blue. I decided to hop in the car and head to the coast. The closer to the water I got, the cloudier it became. By the time I arrived in Scituate the sky was gray and fog was setting in.
